BMW 8-Series
Though BMW calls it quits on the current 8-series after the 2026 model year, the automaker is sure to resurrect the 8-series name in the coming years. Whether a future 8-series retains the coupe, convertible, and sedan (or Gran Coupe in BMW parlance) body styles of today’s model is something that only time will tell.
BMW iX
The BMW iX may have never been much of a looker — though it did get a lot less homely for 2026 — but it was a great battery-electric luxury SUV thanks to its ample driving range, comfortable ride, and lavish cabin. If that sounds like a compelling combination of character traits, then snap up an iX while you still can, because 2026 marks the last year for the model in the United States before BMW pulls the plug.
BMW Z4
Consumers in the market for a new roadster have one less option to pick from come 2027, as the BMW Z4 finds itself discontinued at the conclusion of the 2026 model year. As the replacement for the Z3, the Z4 spanned three generations and survived in BMW’s lineup for more than two decades. Hopefully, BMW decides to re-enter the reasonably affordable roadster segment in the coming years.
