The 849 Testarossa Spider will join its hardtop counterpart later this year, with a starting price expected to be around $600,000.
Unlike the previous Testarossa, there are no “cheese grater” side strakes in this latest design, but there is a large vertical air intake for the mid-mounted V-8 engine.
As in the hardtop, the Spider’s 819-hp twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 is supplemented by three electric motors for a total of 1,036 horsepower.
We estimate the 849 Testarossa Spider will hit 60 mph in around 2.0 seconds flat and should be good for a 9.4-second quarter-mile.
